Santa Barbara > Santa Barbara, CA 93106 > GTE: (805) 961-3221 > I was there ( Mission Viejo ) watching the womens road race event and let me tell you I would'nt have minded if they threw water on me. The announcer may have said the temp. was only about 80-90 but in that full sun for hour after hour it felt a lot hotter than that. What the fans were hoping to do by throwing water on the riders, was to lower the body temp. of the U.S. riders so as to increase thier chances of winning. It finally got to hot for my wife and I and we watched the mens race from the comfort of our own home. Guy the Zebra zz1gl
