Now that the ABC comercial exploitation show is over with, has that Swiss woman marathoner finished yet?, its time to name the winner of the first annual "Pick the Olympics" contest. The winner was Neal McBurnett from ATT-ISL in Denver Colorado. He correctly identified the winners in the Men's and Women's Road Races as well as the 1000m Time Trial(i.e. the "kilo"), and the Match Sprints(sorry Nelson). For his efforts, Neal wins a very rare photograph of Eddy Merckx crossing the Col de Peysoroude during the 1972 Tour de France. What makes the photograph so interesting is that it was taken during a total whiteout but, we all knew Eddy was one tough cookie. Thanks to all that participated, Bruce Hildenbrand p.s.- Definition: Synchronized Swimming - break dancing in a puddle.
