I am interested in purchasing a folding type bicycle that can be
collapsed and carried on mass transit such as the train or BART
or whatever. I don't expect it to be as nice as either my Peugot or my
Trek, but would like to get something that is reasonalby ride-able by
someone ( me ) six fee tall. Does anyone have any knowledge or
experience with such bicycles? I am especially interested in ease of
riding and reliability issues. I have been eyeing the Hon collapsible,
is anyone familiar with it?
Mail me and I will summerize.
Thanks,

#R:hplabs:-76700:uiucdcsb:16200049:000:410 uiucdcsb!harris Aug 24 12:17:00 1984 There was just a review of folding bicycles in the May, 1984 issue of Bicycling magazine. The review included the Hon, as well as the Moulton, Brompton, Bridgestone Picnica, and the Montague. Also of possible interest is the Pingel conversion kit discussed in the August, 1984 issue of Bicycling. I have no experience with these bikes, but I thought you'd be interested in the references.
