Results from the Pro Road Race:
The relatively unheralded Claude Criquelon of Belgium won the RR
with a large 2 minute margin over Conti of Italy. Steve Bauer led
in a group of 6 or so to finish third. Steve was riding for GS Mengoni
but has since inked a pact with Bernard Hinault's Le Vie Claire team.
LeMond was 27th, Hinault, Kelly, Fignon and Moser were DNF.

As rumored in the Sept 3 issue of SI(Sports Illustrated) LeMond is jumping
to Le Vie Claire for a cool million($1,000,000) a year. By the way,
the SI article isn't great but is worth checking out.

Concerning Moser's remarkable win in the Giro d' Italia it seems that
the only ones not paid off were the spectators and of course the French.
Race Officials overlooked some pretty shady tactics(pushing Moser uphill
and pulling his competitors back!!!! etc.).
