I keep getting conflicting stories of what weekend it is on. Also, net.bikers should mark their name flags somehow so we can say hi to one another. Any suggestions for a symbol ? [Warning - basenote drift...] The hilliest century I've ever heard of is the Grizzly Peak Century in the hills behind Berkeley, CA. The year I rode it (1978, and I only made it through the first 50 miles), it was set up as sort of a figure-eight: The first fifty miles was a loop to the north, ending at the starting point, and the second fifty was another loop to the south, ending again at the starting point. If you make it through the entire century, you have climbed (and descended) more than 9000 vertical feet! Steve Wolf [hplabs, ihnp4]!hpfcla!woof
