One more comment on Cateye Solar. I rode about 35 miles in the rain Saturday. After 25 (some of it very heavy) the Cateye refused to respond, no displays no reaction to buttons. My friend's Cateye behaved erratically. After several hours in a warm spot the Cateye came back to life, a few beeps at a time. The time of day clock had lost about 9 hours and the distance meters did not record about 7 miles. My biggest worry had been that it would have forgotten to 2000+ miles and the "magic number" setting but that was no problem. Moral to story: Carry a baggy for your computer with your rain gear.
