[ ... if you lived here ypu'd be home by now ...] Hi, I'm new on this net and thought I'd start things out with a interesting subject. I'm a racer from this area ( mostly road and TTT work) and I just wondered about the rest of the racing public's opinion about the blood doping that went on with a few of the cycling teams members. If some of you are not familiar with it just let me know and I'll post a short explination. My general feeling is that the racers were just as much at fault as the coaches and trainers. The racers could make up their own minds and some of them thought it was wrong and did not participate in the doping. There could have been pressure on the racers also ( do it or don't ride, etc.) I am not making any judgement as to it being a violation of any rule. There is a rule about the 'introduction of any phisiological substance into the body for the sole purpose of increasing performance' but does a blood transfusion qualify? Tom Phillips...
