I see a lot of creativity on people's helmets and I've been thinking of
ways to do my share. A friend of mine, who has a yellow MSR helmet, put
black polka-dots on her helmet, so it looks like a ladybug.
What I see a lot of is people who put their name and sometimes the name
of their cycling club on the rear of their helmet. For example:
Potomac Peddlers
Fred Foo
I'd like to do this, but I think an obviously fictious name would be
much more amusing. Especially because I know that when I'm cycling hard
I can stare at the person's name in front of me for a long time, before
I actually read and comprehend it. So it would be fine if it was
something that had to be pondered over. On the other hand, there's not
much space back there, so it has to be rather short. For example:
Intergalactic Bicycling Team
Martian Cycling Team
Animal House Riders
Zen Maintanence Squad
Let me know if you like any of these, how you decorate your helmet, or
if you can think of any good team names (or anything funny for that
matter) for my helmet. I won't summarize any responses, so post to the
net if you want others to see it. If you want to know what I finally
use, get on that bicycle and start peddling. I'm out there somewhere.
