I would like to obtain people's opinions of bicycle infant seats. I am a recreational rider (no clubs, races, etc.) and average ~ 50 miles per week during the summer, but I would like the opportunity to take a my kid with me. Some of the criteria I am looking for Safety - most important feature. Protection of the legs (from spokes) and the whole body (esp. the face) from sand, pebbles, etc. ease of install/removal I have a Blackburn rear rack and don't wish to remove it. Also, I would prefer to be able to quickly remove the seat when I solo. Thanks for your help. -- Joel Neisen {mgnetp,uwvax,ihnp4}!dicomed!joel "All the same we take our chances..."

Most important, the child should have a helmet. Hard shells are available in children's sizes. For obvious reasons, it is most important to protect the head in case of fall or collision. I think they get a kick out of wearing them, too.
