Collective wisdom will be greatly appreciated on this inquiry: I own a Raleigh Professional Model DL180 that was originally equipped with a rear triangle spaced for a six-speed freewheel, and a Campy Record six-speed rear hub. For years, I used Regina ORO and RECORD chains, and Regina ORO six-speed freewheels, and had NO shifting problems. I recently changed to a Regina CX seven-speed freewheel and the narrow, CXS chain. Now about 40% of my shifts result in the chain spinning on top of the sprocket teeth, instead of engaging them fully. Anybody have any experience/advice to offer me?
