*** REPLACE THIS LINE WITH YOUR TOE CLIPS *** I just read an article in the Naperville Sun that I believe a lot of people on this newsgroup would like to know about. I haven't had time to check recent news to see if this information has already been posted, if it has then please excuse. There will be a meeting next Wednesday July 17, 1985 at the Naperville park district office. The reason for the meeting is that Naperville is trying to pass a law that would ban all bicyclists from roads having a speed limit of 35 mph or higher. This is probably the most ignorant thing I have ever heard of. At this meeting the Adult Bike Touring Club will discuss and submit in writing alternatives. They would like your suggestions and support too. We have to fight this even if you don't live near Naperville because once a town gets away with something, they will all want to do it. For more information, call the Naperville Police Traffic Bureau, 420-6155 and ask for Officer Walker or call the Naperville Park District at 357-9000. If we are loud enough we can defeat this thing. If we are silent then we deserve what we get.
