Doug Shapiro (USA) @ 1:01:37 Bernard Hinault has managed to hold the lead despite a crash in saturdays stage that required 4 stiches in his nose. Greg Lemond gained about a minute and a half in that stage by being in a breakaway. Steve Bauer continues to have a fine ride in his first Tour by holding 5th place. This is the last week of the Tour. This week they climb the Pyrenees and and finish in Paris. The next few days are the last chances for anyone to move up in the general clasification. Deborah Shumway (USA) 9.826 Maria Canins won the 1st part of the womens Tour de France and leads the second part as well.
