The racers have entered New Mexico and have completed the first 800 miles in about 53 hours. Michael Secrest is leading Jonathan Boyer by 1 hour, Michael "the worm" Shermer is 3rd, "long distance" Lon Haldeman is 4th. Bruce Hildenbrand
