-------------- RACE RESULTS ---------------------------------- These are more or less official results from the USCF Nationals if they're not right, don't blame me, I'm just writing what they told me Time Trial Aug 1, at Big Flats Wis.: Senior men : Kent Bostick (Bostik ?) Senior women : Liz Larsen, Batavus Junior men : Mike McCarthy, Fuji/Suntour Junior women : I Dontknow, couldbe/yourteam Road Races Aug 2,3,4 at Milwaukee Wis. : Senior men : Wayne Stetina (!) Senior women : Rebecca Daughton Junior men : Paul Orowitz, Toga Junior women : Bonnie Zaluski, Fuji/Suntour If I knew the team I put it in, otherwise nothing Wayne Stetina won in a two up break (so I'm told), he recently lost (well, came in second) the vets 30-35 national road race in the same situation and came in 9th in the vets time trial, I guess some of those vets are pretty fast huh ? How 'bout if some Colorado type puts Coors stuff in here, we don't get much of that out this way. RE Tickets: I actually got a ticket on my bike once, for riding at night without a light, it was only ten dollars, but it kept me from getting insurance money from the slightly inebriated jerk that hit me and trashed my colnago. RE RAAM : Boyer's win in the RAAM in itself does not show that he is better than the ultra-marathon riders, but that, combined with things like his excellant ride at the USPro road nationals shows that he IS a better athlete, how many others from RAAM could have even stayed in that race ? and how many would have tried it *only* a month before ? none ! __________________________________________________________________________ Andy Riley Digital Equipment & Bud Light /O'Neil's racing team
