a Since a previous posting to the net regarding Helicomatic hubs, I have done a little investigating at several bike shops. Both Bikecology (LA) and The Bicycle Outfitter (Los Altos) warned me that the freewheels have a bad reputation for loosing teeth, or breaking down internally. I've been anticipating speculation about Campy's new 'aero' Record. It sure is elegant, but are (amatuer) racers really going to pay for that stuff? I always suspected that no one bought SR pedals or BBs because the difference is not readily visible, and their supposed suceptability to breakage was a convinient justification. (After all, many use the heavier Cinelli Record stem) Lately I've seen the group with standard sidepulls. I read the aero brakes are being refitted with a non rusting !?! internal part, or are they gong the way of SR hubs?
