a I used a Duopar (titanium version) with a Sedis chain (I believe the same model now called Traveller) on a trans continental tour about 5 years ago. It fouled only once, when it bounced off the smallest sprocket when trying to shift it to the second one. Mine had a toothless pulleys, so they would NOT work with a narrow chain like the sedisport. It certainly wiggles a lot, but I can't honestly say that I can notice any affect on shifting, except that it is so smooth it can be hard to tell sometimes. I also used Dura-Ace barcons which have watch springs in them to balance the derailler tension. I thought they were hands down superior to any other makers, but they aren't available anymore. Lately I've been toyig with the idea of buying a Superbe Pro group since they come the closest to offering a uniform touring group (I need barcons, cantilevers, and a touring derailleur). Does anyone have any comments on the Superbe Pro GT derailleur? Also, I read in some mountain bike review that the Le Tech is not that positive under load. Is this true? The Duopar could shift under almost any load. Its depressing not to find any definitely superior components to those I had on tour 5 years ago (well with the exception of a Nadax BB). If only someone could make a derailluer that worked like a Duopar and was built like a Crane (and supported like a Campy)!
