The November issue of Bicycle Guide has a discussion of Avocet, Specialized,
and Michelin slicks. They talk about the various makers feelings concerning
wet and rough roads and they also tell of the author's empirical findings
with the various tire in the rain. It is an interesting article from
the standpoint of describing the various makers testing methodologies.
The rest of the mag is devoted to fat tire bikes. [ Are mountain bike
slicks next ?? ;-) ]
(Oh... You wanna know what they said ??? They worked fine in the rain.
and they all worked like the tubulars they (the tires) were competing with.)
