Apologies to anyone who's seen this already: *************************************************************************** From: larrabee@decwrl.UUCP (Tracy Larrabee) Newsgroups: net.bizarre Subject: a message my bicycle left me Message-ID: <878@decwrl.UUCP> Date: Wed, 16-Oct-85 16:08:42 EDT Distribution: net Organization: Digital Equipment Corp., Palo Alto, CA I left the country for a while and loaned my bike to my friend Karin while I was gone. She continued to use it after I got back until the new bike she had ordered arrived. Sometime after her new bike arrived I came into my office and found my bike with some flowers and this note (in very beautiful handwriting) tied onto it with a ribbon: O fairest, I did stray. I let myself be taken by another woman while you were away, I confess it. But she used me. She took me for a ride. She cleaned me out, then she found someone new. Now I am alone and I long for your touch on my trembling frame once again. I bring you these flowers asking your forgiveness; may their pedals bring you around. My light burns bright for you, Tracy. I long to have my seat between your legs once again, to have you crank my shaft as only you can. Only you hold the key. Let us race through the streets of laughter and coast down the path of life. Let me carry you; I shall not tire. I'm yours. Bike -- All characters mentioned herein are fictitious. Any similarity to actual characters, ASCII or EBCDIC is purely coincidental.
