Do you mind explaining what that means?  If you are comparing
Prince to kleenex, I don't see the connection.  What does
kleenex mean to you?  To me, kleenex is something I use when I'm
sick and don't even think about any other time.  Hate him or
love him, I don't see how Prince could fit into that category.
If you are saying kleenex is such an everyday item that it is
not possible to hate it, then I say bullsh*t.  If it's an
accessory, hating it doesn't make much sense.  It's there when
you need it, it isn't being forced down your throat by some
cretinous DJ (or VJ) day in and day out for an entire summer.
If it's a pop artist, it makes perfect sense to hate it.

Besides, I'm not too fond of Prince myself, but then I probably
wouldn't be fond of anything I was forced to hear twice a day
for three months (the person who drove me to work had to listen
to WILD-AM in boston to and from work).
