     implement protocols, and evaluating/implementing/debugging
communications hardware. Responsible for system maintenance
of installed data communications, and for education/
consulting on relevant communications topics. At least a
master's degree in science/engineering, with communications
     background, is desirable.

Programmer Analyst - Computer Services and Training

Job responsibilities are graphics software design and
development, mainly for VLSI CAD and Telidon; support for
IBM interfaces to VM RJE/CMS, MVS RJE/TSO, and SAS; and UNIX
utilities and software engineering. Applicants should have
a background in computer graphics and UNIX experience.

Computer Systems Specialist - Computer Services and Training

Act as an internal consultant and coordinator with emphasis
on the UNIX, VMS, RSX, and/or IBM operating systems, systems
studies and evaluations, design, coding and testing of
software. Applicants should possess a relevant undergradu-
ate university degree with at least 5 years related experi-

Design Engineer - Integrated Circuit Design

Implement design methodologies for ISO-CMOS, and evaluate
and implement of commercially available software for MPR
designers' use. Assist in the overall design function for
integrated circuits. The successful applicant will be a
graduate Electrical Engineer, preferably with two years ex-
perience in IC design, layout, simulation, and testing.

Integrated Circuit Test Engineer - Integrated Circuit Design

Assist in the establishment and operation of the Pacific Mi-
croelectronics Centre. Evaluate and recommend the automatic
testing equipment for testing of digital circuits, coordi-
nate installation of the ATE, advise and consult IC
designers on test procedures relevant to IC design, and as-

Job responsibilities include the investigation of new appli-
cations and techniques for satellite communications systems,
specification and definition of satellite systems for voice
and data use, and performance of link budget calculations.
Applicants should have a background in satellite or radio
transmission design with more than 5 years working experi-
     ence.

Switching Systems Engineer - Systems, Research, and Planning
