drg@utcsrgv.UUCP (Dave Galloway) (07/08/83)
We are looking for a new UNIX system hack for this installation. The job involves looking after two VAX 11/780s running 4.1BSD, a PDP-11/45 running (gulp!) V6, and a number of smaller UNIX workstations. In the near future we want to install 4.2BSD on the two VAXes and change one of them into a "Purdue-style" dual VAX. We also want to use the 4.2 networking facilities to tie our machines together, and hook them up to other UNIX machines on campus. We need a person who has used UNIX for a number of years and has a good grasp of the C programming language. We would prefer that you have some experience in UNIX internals work. The job does involve talking to our users, so you can't work completely on the night shift. The hours are flexible otherwise. The pay is competitive, the environment is good, the people you work with are both bright and friendly. If you are interested in hearing more, send mail to utcsrgv!lab, or give me a call at the phone number below. If you are in Toronto for the conference next week, try to get in touch with me. -- Dave Galloway, 1-(416)-978-5300 Computer Systems Research Group, University of Toronto
