Software Professionals / Parallel Processing the excitement: Myrias Research Corporation is developing a large scale parallel computing system for scientific applications. The key Myrias innovation is a unique programming model and the underlying control structure that implements the model. The scalable Myrias architecture provides comput- ing power and memory capacity without limit. the group: The Software Implementation Group is responsible for com- pilers and related tools, operating system utilities, and some operating system components. the challenge: Contribute to a team effort to launch Myrias into a lead- ing position in the parallel processing marketplace. Several positions are available immediately. Senior and Junior Software Test Engineers We have two positions available on the software test team. As the Senior Software Test Engineer, you will have respon- sibility for establishing and implementing software testing procedures within the Group. As a Software Test Writer, you will be responsible for designing and writing tests for specific programs. If you have a minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, or a closely related discipline, and a proven track record in shipping products, you may be the right person for the senior position. Experience in supervision will be an asset. If you have 2 or more years of programming experience, a university degree in Computer Science or Mathematics, and a keen interest in software testing then you may be the Software Test Writer we are looking for. Compiler Writer As a member of our exceptionally strong compiler writing team you would initially be responsible for implementing the code generation phase of our prototype parallel fortran com- piler. In the longer term you can be part of the leading edge in compiler technology. We will be investigating glo- bal optimization, parallel algorithms for compilation, automatic detection of parallelism, and many other problems. If you have a proven track record in the construction of production quality compilers and an interest in forward- looking work in compiler technology then you may be the right person for this position. Operating Systems Programmer As part of the systems software team you will be responsible for designing and implementing portions of the operating software for the prototype Myrias parallel computer system. In the longer term you will be part of the team that engineers and implements a truly distributed version of the UNIX* operating system. A university degree in Computer Science, an understanding of the internals of the UNIX operating system, and 3 or more years of systems programming experience will make you a strong candidate for this position.
