  DATABASE ANALYST/PROGRAMMERS 

       Automation Tooling Systems requires experienced database 
       analyst/programmers to develop software modules for our 
       customers. 

         Typical projects include: 

        * Inventory control. 
        * Factory Information Systems. 
        * Fault logging and reporting. 
        * Interaction with high level Factory Automation Tools 
          (MRP, CAD/CAM). 

         
  QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED 


  EDUCATION 

        * A degree in Computer Science plus one year of 
          experience, or: 

        * A degree in Engineering, Physics or other science 
          discipline plus two years of software development 
          experience in a high level language such as "C" or
          an SQL like interface. 

       Non-degree candidates will be required to demonstrate their 
       software development ability. 


  EXPERIENCE 

       No specific work related experience is required, however the 
       following types of experience are advantageous. 

        * On the job experience with relational database 
          software systems. 

        * Experience with Unix or QNX operatiing systems and 
          exposure to the 'C' programming language. 

        * Work in a related field such as automation, or process 
          control.

       systems house. It enjoys a position in the top ten of 
       robotics systems houses in North America. At ATS you'll work 
       side by side with our professional programmers to develop 
       robotic based applications for our customers. Our customer 
       base includes many Fortune 100 companies. We presently have a 
       staff of 30 professional programmers. Our development 
       environment consists of a 70 node QNX local area network, and 
       a DEC VAX mini-computer. 

         The company is located in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.

       adjacent to its sister city Waterloo. The city of Waterloo

       its work in software development.
