JOB TITLE:    Systems Programmer/Analyst 
              (Full-time University of Calgary employee)

DUTIES:
      - To participate in the design and implementation of a variety
        of software projects. 
        Software environment is predominantly Unix. (Vax/Unix 4.3BSD,
        Networks of Suns/Unix, Networks of Apollos/Unix)
	Software projects originate from a variety of sources.
                1. Internal to the systems group, typically
                   motivated  by the need to enhance user environment
                2. Researchers
                3. Instructors

      - Responsibilities may occasionally require the
        person to work at short notice on evenings and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS:
	Atleast a Bachelors degree in Computer Science.

EXPERIENCE:
      - 2 to 3 years programming experience in the Unix environment
      - Familiarity with the programming language C, Unix internals
        and Communication  protocols.
