FACULTY POSITION
DALHOUSIE UNIVERSITY
COMPUTING SCIENCE DIVISION
Dalhousie University invites applications for a tenure-track
faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the
Computing Science Division. A more senior appointment may be
made, subject to budgetary approval. A Ph.D. in Computing
Science or a related discipline is required. Preference will be
given to candidates with evidence of strong research and teaching
capabilities or potential. All research areas will be
considered.
The Computing Science Division consists of 10 full-time
faculty positions and is an autonomous unit within a strong
Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Computing Science. The
Division offers both graduate and undergraduate programmes in
Computing Science and has an active co-op programme.
The Department operates its own SUN 4/280 for research
purposes and is ethernetted to other computing facilities on
campus as well as to the University's VAX 8800, through which it
is networked to computing facilites at other Halifax
universities.
