                     Positions in Computer Communications
                 (Univeristy of British Columbia, Vancouver)

We have openings for programmer analysts in the area of communication protocols.
Duties include design and implementation of software for testing of 
communication protocols, reference implementation of CCITT protocols, and design
of test suites and test methodologies. 
The successful candidate will work with a team of technical
staff and with faculty members in the Department of Computer Science. The
research project is a joint effort between the University of British Columbia 
and Idacom Electronics Ltd.                
 
Minimum Qualifications:  B.Sc. in Computer Science with at least two
years of experience, or M.Sc. in Computer Science. The candidate should be
familiar with computer communications protocols, and the UNIX operating system.
Knowledge of protocol testing would be an asset.

Starting salary range: $26,400 - $33,000 depending on qualifications
