Position Available:

Technical Support Assistant

The successful candidate will be responsible for hot-line customer support. 
This will involve assisting customers with routine problems, including 
software installation and setup, providing technical information about the 
software, evaluating problems which may necessitate modifications to the 
software, and providing workarounds where necessary.

The candidate must have the confidence to deal effectively and pleasantly 
with customers as well as SoftQuad's technical and sales staff, and must 
be able to acquire in-depth knowledge of SoftQuad's product line.

	-excellent telephone manner
	-tact, diplomacy, patience and judgement
	-good problem solving skills
	-ability to work under pressure
	-good organizational skills
	-adaptability, ability to learn quickly

We hope to find a candidate with a mix of skills and experience that 
include some of the following:

	-UNIX (including some system experience, programming)
	-nroff/troff formatting utilities
	-familiarity with computer hardware
	-general computer literacy
	-keyboard experience
	-customer support experience
