EMPLOYMENT WITH IDACOM ELECTRONICS LTD.
IDACOM has an opening for Systems and Facilities Administrator.
The work pertains to:
1. Computer systems and equipment planning.
2. Investigate, evaluate and recommend hardware and software to
enhance the productivity of IDACOM personnel.
3. System administration for VAX750, SUN LAN, APOLLO LAN and PCs.
4. Ensure the facilities are secured against catastrophic failures.
5. Provide training and guidance to technical and non-technical
IDACOM personnel.
6. Report directly to Project Group Manager.
Applicants must have 3-5 years experience in system administration
with proven track record. Expertize in the UNIX or Mentor(Aegis)
environment is desirable but not essential.
IDACOM currently has LAN consisting of VAX750, SUN 3/280 and
SUN 3/50s connected via ethernet running MT XINU and SUN UNIX,
Apollo LAN running Mentor graphics PCB design software, and
X.25 dedicated link to UBC.
