Guenther: GRANT@LAUCOSC.LAURENTIAN.CA ------------------------------------------------------------------------ LAURENTIAN UNIVERSITY Department of Mathematics and Computer Science F A C U L T Y P O S I T I O N C o m p u t e r S c i e n c e The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Laurentian University invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the Associate Professor level in Computer Science to begin on 1 July 1990. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Computer Science and a proven research record. The department has a significant service responsibility and also offers a comprehensive honours degree programme in Computer Science. The department's computing resources currently include VAX 11/750 running VMS, a small network of Sun-3 workstations and many personal computers. The city of Sudbury is a regional service centre for Northeastern Ontario and provides many opportunities for cultural and recreational activities as well as collaborative research in the resource sector. In addition to undergraduate teaching and participation in university governance, members of the department are expected to be active in research. Laurentian University has an employment equity policy; qualified women are particularly encouraged to apply for this position. Bilingualism (English/French) would be an asset.
