[net.micro.16k] 16032 Unix system in kit form

kulick@qucis.UUCP (Jeff Kulick) (01/06/84)

For the past 2 months we have been running a small Unix system developed
by National Semiconductor (Canada) and Human Computing Resources Corp.
(Toronto) based on the 16032. It uses National's DB16000 Multibus
board, National's 512KB memory board, and a DTC/Tandon 20mb disk system.

It runs 4.1 and we ported a 500KB C program to it in one day from our
VAX 780. It seems like a really nice small development system.

At present it is only available in 'kit' form, and requires some hardware
expertise to get it together. The cost of the system under National's
university program should be so low as to make it well worth the effort.

For information on the system, you should contact HCR in Toronto
(416) 922-1937.
