[net.micro.16k] questionnaire if you're doing 16032 or 32032 development

deborah@avsdS.UUCP (07/17/84)

We are putting together a tentative capital equipment
proposal for some 32032 support, and I'd like some more detailed info
about how you like National's equipment and support. Please respond by
mail to any of the applicable questions, in as much detail as you have time
for.

Here goes with the questions:

HARDWARE
	1) Which of the 16000 family processors are you doing development
with? What kind of problems have you had with availability of
parts from National, and how reliable have they been?

	2) Are you using an ISE from National, another emulator (is there one?)
or no emulator? How do you like the system you are using?

	3) If using a National ISE, have you had any problems? How is the
reliability of the system? Is it fast enough? Have you bumped
up against any system deficiencies yet?

SOFTWARE
	1) What kind of debug program are you using? Do you like it?
Does it tell too much or not enough information? Is it easy
	   to use?

	2) What language are you developing your code in? I'm especially
interested in C compilers. Is your compiler all standard? Does
it compile fast enough? Have you encountered any compiler problems?

GENERAL
	1) Has National supported you well with information, service, etc?
Would you deal with them again if someone else was offering a
	   comparable chip set?

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply. I would appreciate
hearing from you within a couple of weeks.
