Can anyone give me a quick synopsis of the difference between the Radio Shack Model 100 and the NEC 8201? They look the same, obviously NEC makes these for Tandy (looks that way anyway). I would like to know what the main differences are, if any, and if software for the Model 100 runs on the 8201. Also, do they have the same version of BASIC? Thanks for any replies. Every year or so it has to be said.
Net.micro.16k is NOT for discussion of computers with 16k RAM.
It is for discussion of the National Semiconductor 32000 series
architecture, the first member of which was once named the "16032"
(abbreviated "16k").
Radio Shack computers are discussed in net.micro.trs-80. Other
micro-related groups are:
net.micro.cpm - CP/M computers
net.micro.6809 - computers with 6809 (like Radio Shack CoCo)
net.micro.68k - computers with Motorola 680x0 processor
net.micro.amiga - Commodore Amiga
net.micro.apple - Apple computers, except the Mac
net.micro.atari - Atari computers
net.micro.atari16 - Atari 16-bit computers
net.micro.atari8 - Atari 8-bit computers
net.micro.att - AT&T workstations
net.micro.cbm - Commodore Business Machines computers
net.micro.hp - Hewlett Packard computers
net.micro.mac - the Apple Macintosh
net.micro.pc - the IBM PC and compatibles
net.micro.ti - Texas Instruments computers
net.micro.trs-80 - Radio Shack computers
