I would like to begin a discussion of the various A/D chips that are commercially available. I have in my hand a copy of the data sheet for the Intersil ICL7115. Does anyone out there have any experience with this part? If so, respond to the net and see if there are others out there who are interested. I am also interested in any non-proprietary work that is going on in the various universities on the net. When I left Berkeley in 1981, there was some work starting (I think) on 16bit A/D converters in CMOS. I recall that some method was going to be used that made the device self-correcting (self-calibrating?) to overcome the deficiencies of CMOS. Does anyone know about this work or similar work elsewhere? Steve Swift (..decvax!microsof!fluke!vax1.swifty)
