[net.analog] transducers for engine instrumentation

brucec@orca.UUCP (Bruce Cohen) (08/05/83)

I don't even know if this newsgroup still exists; I've seen one
article on it in the last six months. Still, it's worth a try.

A friend of mine is looking for ways to chaeply instrument a car
engine test bed. Anyone who has pointers to cheap (or at least not
horribly expensive) pressure and fluid flow transducers, please pass
them on. I've used National's monolithic pressure transducer, but
that was some time ago, and I understand that that group forked from
National into a separate company, but I don't have details. I've
heard that Honeywell and Motorola have products, but, again, no
details. Anyone have comments on vendors, quality, price, ease of use,
etc.?
