[net.analog] Heart Rate Monitor

dr@ski.UUCP (David Robins) (09/18/86)

For whoever asked about circuitry for a heart-rate monitor:

While I agree that an LED finger- or earlobe-pulse detector is the
easiest way to go, I did find a cicuit for an EKG signal heart-rate
monitor.

(By the way, Sears and others have small portable LED pulse monitors,
some of which are quite small and compact for use during running.)

In a Motorola CMOS handbook from some years ago, there is a block
diagram and schematic for a battery powered EKG rate monitor.
If you are still interested, write me and I can send you a copy.
