[net.lang.st80] Smalltalk interpreter, anyone?

pjd@cwruecmp.UUCP (Dr. Funk) (01/16/84)

I am organizing a seminar on non-von Neumann architectures and
programming styles such as functional programming, applicative
languages, message passing styles, etc. We would like to import
any public domain (or minimum charge) software which will give
our students some real experience with these kinds of languages.
We are particularly interested in Backus FP, Smalltalk, and
Actor-based languages.

If you have a system that you would like to export, please send
send me information about availability, who to contact, etc. We
are running 4.1 Unix(tm) on our 11/780 and also have several
Apollos as possible hosts.

As usual, if there is sufficient response, I will summarize any
incoming for the net. Thanks!
