I am looking for an implementation of Smalltalk for the 68K or else an implementation for another machine which is fairly portable (like Berkeley Smalltalk). A friend and I have some spare parts out of which we'd like to build a smalltalk engine, but it would be a lot easier with a software base. Many Thanks, Tom Faulhaber ...decwrl!greipa!tommif!tom

I am interested, too. Thanks. Matt Perez

Since the net may get flooded, I'll keep this short. I don't think it's really "public domain", but ... "Source for the Little Smalltalk system can be obtained by sending a check for $20 (U.S.) payable to "The University of Arizona", to the following address: Timothy A. Budd Smalltalk Distribution Department of Computer Science The University of Arizona Tucson, Arizona 85721 " (reproduced without permission :-) - handles most of the language. - no built-in graphics. - fast (on a 4.2BSD VAX 780). - ported to several machines already (ask for the list). - UNIX-based. - comes with some demo programs and other goodies. - I like it. Check it out! -------- Lee Thomas Software Development Products Division Design Automation Group Tektronix, Inc. -- Lee Thomas Software Development Products Division Design Automation Group Tektronix, Inc.
