In September 1986, ANSI committee X3J13 had their first meeting to
develop (or adopt) a standard for Common Lisp. In September 1987,
ISO/TC97/SC22 established working groups WG16 on Lisp and WG17 on Prolog.

The role of the CSA working groups will be to review proposals from
ANSI (and ISO), and to provide technical comment on those documents. At the
International level, Canada has one vote -- the same as the U.S. or any
other country; thus an individual here can have a significant impact on the
international standard.

If you are interested in participating, or know someone who may be,
contact the persons mentioned above, and try to attend the meetings
in Ottawa.
