Highlights of an article that appeared in
Computing Canada (Vol. 14, No. 6, March 17, 1988):

MACII BECOMES AI WORKSTATION (by Tim Gouldson)

Scheduled for delivery in April is the Microexplorer, which at US$15K 
includes:
- A MacIntosh II with 2 MB of memory
- a 40 MB hard disk
- Microexplorer processor board with 4 MB of memory
- Explorer runtime software
The model will have half the power of the Explorer II, TI's high-end 
Lisp machine and will preserve the full functionality of the MacII.

The product will be colabelled by Texas Instruments and Apple, and it
will be marketed by TI's Data Systems Group.
