Xenix 286 version V.2 for the IBM PC/AT has problems with non-fixed stack sizes, at least in the large memory model. This is in direct contradiction with the documentation. Fortunately, Xenix V.2 includes a command 'fixhdr', which lets you change the header of an executable file, without having to recompile the program. I ran across this while porting news over to Xenix V.2 . -- Jim Scardelis, SA {vax135,ihnp4}!wcom!frodo #include <favorite disclaimer>

But, how does one tell it to use a variable stack, allowing a small model program to operate properly (as advertised) with any combination of heap and stack usage that does not exceed 64k? -- Chuck Forsberg WA7KGX ...!tektronix!reed!omen!caf CIS:70715,131 Omen Technology Inc 17505-V NW Sauvie Island Road Portland OR 97231 Home of Professional-YAM, the most powerful COMM program for the IBM PC Voice: 503-621-3406 Modem: 503-621-3746 (Hit CR's for speed detect) omen Any ACU 1200 1-503-621-3746 se:--se: link ord: Giznoid in:--in: uucp
