I thought mac fans would like this story. I have a friend who has a Macintosh and spends all the time on it. No surprise when last night, when somebody tried to wake him up at a very early hour, he sat up on his bed (not awake!), and said: "Oh, this is so beautiful." That somebody asked: "What is beautiful?" - "The computer," he said, and pointed to his Macintosh. Then my friend proceeded to describe the virtues of the operating system, and the data structures -- all in his sleep. Irena Sifrar By the way, that friend is Mark Galassi. Two days ago he was timed on the phone to his brother: 47 minutes of pure computer talk.

Well thanks a lot Irena for letting all the world know that I am a weirdo! In any case, I would like to specify that the operating system and data structures I was praising were not the Mac ones, which I don't know in enough depth, but UNIX ones, with which I try to get more familiar all the time. Cheers, Mark Galassi ...!tektronix!reed!rosalia [...!reed!nerdix!rosalia]
