I have decided that it is time for a strong statement on apartheid.
Effective immediately, I have shaved off my beard as a symbol of solidarity
with our repressed african brothers. And sisters, too. Oh, and daughters,
sons, aunts, uncles, and cousins. And, uh, well, you get the idea. Anyway,
I plan to continue shaving off my beard until South Africa realizes the
errors of its ways and gives equality to its repressed peoples.
Top that, all you couch potatoes!
chuq (nothing like living in the USA, home of freedom for all except those
covered by the ERA...)

Well, since Chuq has decided to shave off his beard for Apartheid, I have
decided to offer my own form of protest against Apartheid. I will not eat
glazed beets until something is done about Apartheid. I am, of course,
making the ultimate sacrifice, but I feel it's the least I can do.
