[net.bizarre] vt100 music mode

jheimann@bbncc5.UUCP (John Heimann) (09/12/85)

	If you have a vt100, the following control sequence

[?8h[155q

has just put your terminal into music mode. Your keyboard has been transformed
into a brain-damaged musical instrument.  Hold down keys until they repeat;
different keys will produce different pitches. Shift and Control change them.
Bizarre.

	The first time I posted this I didn't realize that <ESC>ape characters
are eaten by the net. So here it is again with the <ESC>'s put in:

	If you have a vt100, the following control sequence

<ESC>[?8h<ESC>[155q

will put your terminal into music mode. Your keyboard will be transformed
into a brain-damaged musical instrument.  Hold down keys until they repeat;
different keys will produce different pitches. Shift and Control change them.
Bizarre.

This won't work if keyclick is turned off.
