[net.bizarre] Duck billed platypus not the only egg laying mammal

But the duck billed platypus is not the only egg-laying mammal in existence.
There is also the spiny (or is it spiney) anteater.  Both these animals are
native to Australia and both lay leather eggs.  It has been postulated that
these two creatures were Mother Nature's first try at making mammals and
that she didn't quite get it right.
