[Imagine this line in a hot bordelaise sauce....] Ummm. How about a bread basket? In a restaurant, they had this break basket made of what looked like french fries. Now I've been to a restaurant in L.A. where the bread basket was edible. So I thought that the same rule applies. Well, after a few of the fries, the waiter said that it wasn't edible despite the fact that they used french fries for it. It tasted o.k.... bj [This message is not associated with any known organization. I find this very disquieting....] -- Me? Well, I have a favorite, tho I never thought it was too bizarre. Some of my friends who have seen me eat it have thought it quite so, however. You've probably had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, or cream cheese and jelly sandwiches, or maybe even peanut butter and cream cheese, BUT have you ever tried all 3? They are surprisingly good! (In a sandwich, thank you.) Put the PB and J on 1 slice, and the CC on the other slice and put them together. It's very very good! I assume you refer to Gino's. But spinach pizza is hardly weird-- you can get it at Garcia's. Pineapple pizza is a bit odd, though. I hope this discussion of strange foods isn't going to degenerate into something like the one that showed up in net.cooks a while back. My stomach simply can't stand those detailed discussions of how to eat live monkey brains. -Ben Leimkuhler
