Why are the media making such a big thing about Donald McDonald getting $800 a day for his services on the Royal Commission? I can't say whether he is indeed the best person for the job, but once they've chosen him, that's only $100-$125 an hour. As a senior partner at a major Toronto law firm, he can earn MUCH more than that doing legal work. In that sense, it's not at all arrogant for him to say he's "worth" more than $800 a day. It's a simple statement of fact. Dave Sherman
