[can.politics] Canada's defence and "buy local" similarities

Isn't this the argument I've been putting forth about why people should
"buy local" instead of shopping for the cheapest thing they can find?

If you "buy local", you pay money to the people who depend on you and
who will consider your interests.  The larger the corporation, the cheaper
the goods, but the less the corporation depends on you for its income.
