I asked her, and here is her response:

1. Much smaller class sizes (e.g. 5 students per teacher) where each
   of the students is of similar ability. In this way, more individual
   attention could be provided, and provided equally -- not just to
   exceptional students at either end of the ability spectrum. Also,
   many discipline problems would evaporate in this setting.

2. Less structure in the classroom, with classes able to leave the
   school and investigate the world first hand. This would involve
   much more interaction between schools and the community than exists
   now. This also includes more latitude for the teacher in determining
   curricula. (The Ministry of Education frequently decides not only
   course content, but also the textbook it will be taught from).

These are ideals, which economics dictates are unlikely to ever be
considered for actual implementation. (Also, there just aren't *that*
many teachers around, even in B.C. :-)
