Robinson You cannot wave around phrases like "alien to most free societies" and just hope that everyone will see that you are right. There is no such thing as absolute freedom. With freedom comes responsibility. Note that the people being discussed here have a responsibility to the people of the country who have payed for their education. I believe that education is a right, but like all other rights, I cannot take it for granted -- I must bear in mind the responsibility that I have to those who have provided it for me. In a society of perfectly ethical beings this would not cause any problems, but unfortunately laws like this might be required to deal with those people who would be unwilling to accept their responsibilities otherwise.
