[can.politics] Liberals ahead in polls?

Just a question to settle an argument:

	I seem to recall that the Liberals were leading in the polls for a 
while during John Turner's short stint as Prime Minister in 1984.  A friend
argues that the Liberals were way down in the polls from the moment Trudeau 
resigned in February until the election.
	Who's right?  Can anybody remember or find actual numbers in old
newspapers?
